This year, Irvine California is Global Village Festival is held on September 24 at 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at Bill Barber ParkLocated at 4 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine. This Multicultural Festival Will Feature International Food, Live Music and Entertainment, Acute Village, Crafts and Activities, Religious Exhibits and International Marketplace. Both Admission and Parking Is Free for Attendees. This is the 15th anniversary of the city’s largest and most attended community event.
There will be over 100 performances on five different stages. If you’re looking to expand your international cuisine repertoire, you can certainly do it at the exotic marketplace with hundreds of different dishes from around the world. There’s a world religions area emphasizing unique cultures and religions around the world. This provides an excellent opportunity to discuss and explore your spiritual knowledge through interaction with established faith-based organizations in the Irvine area.
The International Marketplace is truly a sight to behold. This marketplace will overflow with local, international and regional vendors featuring unique gifts, arts, and crafts, artwork, and textiles. The kids Village is a perfect spot for families and kids alike with inflatable’s, arts and crafts, games and activities. There will even be kid friendly food selections appealing to the younger crowd. Free ID wristbands will be available at the information booth including a parent’s cell phone number in case kids wander off. Also at the Kids Village, you can try your hand at tennis. tennis instructors and learn about leagues and lessons for both kids and adults.
Enjoy live demonstrations with interactive and educational exhibits at the demonstration stage as well as a martial arts arena highlighting a diverse array of arts, crafts, and cultural design.
The Global Village Festival was established in 1998 by a group of Irvine residents whose desire to promote understanding and built harmony in cultures became a reality with the first Festival. The Irvine Global Village Festival is dedicated to providing eco-friendly initiatives such as dual way stations, biodegradable promotion materials and recyclable utensils, cups, and plates. The urge all participants to bring reusable items such as coffee mugs, water bottles and plastic cups for their own beverages. They encourage utilizing recycling and composting bins throughout the festival and to bring your own reusable shopping bag to purchase items and artwork.
