It’s that time of year again? Many people’s favorite time of year. It’s Christmas time in Irvine and if you’re looking for fun events either with the family, by yourself or as a couple, here are some of the best holiday in Christmas events going on in Irvine California this year.
Irvine Park Railroads Annual Christmas Train – Located in 1 Irving Park Rd. from a December 1 until December 23, you can take advantage of this fantastic ride through historic Irvine regional Park. You’ll get to meet Santa Claus, drop passengers off at the North Pole, share your wish list with Santa and have a photo taken with him. The cost is $12 per person and children under age 2 are free. Check out the total of lights on the ride back to Santos Village.
The OC Chill Ice Rink is open and 71 Fortune Dr. in Irvine and is a perfect holiday activity. The Irvine Spectrum Center is transformed into a winter wonderland in addition to the giant holiday wheel for this holiday season. Skate sessions are 75 minutes and it’s only closed on Christmas Day.
Selfies with Santa also at the Irvine Spectrum Center happens all the way up until December 24. You’ll find Santa dressed in Hawaii in gear with Orange County accents everywhere such as surfboards, Hawaiian shirts and board shorts.
The 108 Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade Cruise. Although this is not in Irvine exactly, it’s close by in Newport Beach at 309 Palm St., Suite A at the Newport Landing Whale Watching Marina. Sign up for the $20 cruise special.
CHOC Toy Drive the 29 Hubble in Irvine at the Pretend City Children’s Museum. If you’re looking to give a little extra this year and brighten the holidays for the children at the hospital, the museum is partnering wtih CHOC to give a very Merry Christmas to every child in need.
Winterfest is happening in Costa Mesa every evening up until Christmas Eve. This festival will feature ice-skating, the world’s largest walk-through ornament, life music and entertainment, reindeer feedings and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to take pictures.
